Sure, a coach could probably help you go faster on your bicycle. But if you can't afford a coach, or because you're an amateur cyclist and have your priorities straight, I'll tell you how to go faster.
1. Stop eating trash. Cut down your beer intake. Lose five pounds off your mid-section before you spend $2k to buy wheels that will save you a pound.
2. Find a hill. Ride up the hill. Repeat it until you can't ride up the hill.
3. Worry about #1 and #2 until you're on a Tour de France team.
I put this strategy into practice today. You can check out my Strava here. Follow me. Your rides inspire me to achieve things I never dreamed possible.
